Best Gym Shoes
When choosing a training shoe it's important to start with what you want to shoe a function for. Is it stability, mobility, increased power, support/Cushing, or for some of us just wanting some fashionable shoes for the gym. I'm going to run through my 4 favorite shoes to train in and why to help you find ideas for your next pair of gym shoes that supports your training style and goals.
CONVERSE
Converse are probably my favorite shoes in the gym at the moment and for good reason. They provide me with a flat and stable base which is perfect for like days and maximizing my power through my movements by being fat and staple to the ground. I also love wearing my platform converse to the gym I only do I think they're super cute and add some length to my legs but I find them to be fine stabilizing with some extra cushion. Sometimes I don't enjoy feeling the ground beneath my feet Converse and these are great happy medium. Other shoes you could consider with similar benefits would be vans or cats. They operate in the same Way by providing a stable flat base allowing you to maximize and push power through your feet on the light day. Flat shoes. Are best worn on leg day but that doesnβt mean that they canβt be worn on upper body days for style and stability.
SPACE HIPPIES
Truthfully these are my shoes that I wear that I want to be stylish in the gym. They allow a lot of mobility because the top is very soft like and I don't feel like my feet are restricted to our shoes. The downside of these is that the face of the shoe isn't always the most stable depending on what movement you're doing. For example if I were squatting I would probably take these shoes off so that I can have a flat and stable base to the ground but I do find them comfortable and I always get compliments when I wear them. Also the shoes I choose when I'm going out in about to run errands in my mouth leisure and I just kind of want to put together a stylish casual look these shoes are always a statement piece.
ULTRA BOOSTS
Ultra boosts are my favorite shoes for eight days or running. They provide an immense amount of support and cushion so bad I don't feel like I am giving myself transplants or hurting my already fragile knee joints. The function of the shoes is to provide support and cushion without sacrificing stability so those who choose to run in them frequently are less susceptible to injury. Not to mention they come in so so may cute colors and designs they are sure to make a statement in or out of the gym.
No Bulls
Very popular amongst CrossFit and Olympic lifters community. I owned a pair back in college that I grew out of aesthetically but I really really enjoyed the shoes to lift in. They're incredibly durable and stable with us fairly flat base and they allow you to really feel like your feet are on the ground. Was stable and durable the upper portion of the shoe is. With brands like Nike and Adidas I have found that they seem to stretch and wear overtime when they aren't thick/leather material but nobles fabric does not seem to give out overtime with wear and stretch. One of the biggest selling points for noble is the traction they provide. When it comes to movements like CrossFit and Olympic lifting as well as hit workouts it's important to purchase a shoe that will not have you slipping around in the gym and potentially leading to injury. Movements like box jumps for training on a more slippery surface such as a rubber floor, is not an issue because of the grip of the soles of the shoe. They're also incredibly easy to clean I just toss them in the water after taking out out the soles and laces and let them are dry in the sunlight.
